As we know the contribution of China regarding production of rare earth metals and in the same efforts in the period of 2011-2015 , they will develop rare-earth-based new materials. The initiative is taken keeping in mind the increasing need and to increase the capacity of manufacturing, according to a five-year plan for the new materials industry.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the government and rare earth metals company will try to utilize its rare earth resources at full so that the scale of new materials can be expanded.
Plan of the government and Rare Earth Metals Companies says that they will give attention to increase efforts to perk up performances of new materials produced with rare earth, promote rare earths application in high-end manufacturing, expand rare earth functional materials and increase product added-value. With the collective consideration of rare earth metals companies and government , a range of other new materials containing rare earth metals are into the focus of them.
The uses of these 17 rare earth metals are many in which they are widely used in the manufacturing of technological products that includes hybrid cars, lasers, magnets, flat-screen televisions etc.
The plan is to encourage the production technologies application rate to 70 percent for rare earth functional materials in the country's high-tech industries by 2015.
Rare earth permanent magnet materials are also in their consideration for which they have set goal to increase the production by 20,000 tonnes a year. For rare earth hydrogen-containing alloy powder , they have set goals to increase its production by 15,000 tonnes a year. Rare earth magnet materials are mostly used in medical sector, electrical motors, and spaceflight. For the high-performance in batteries, hydrogen-containing alloy powder is used.
Beijing , Baotou city Inner Mongolia, Liangshan and Leshan in Sichuan province, Ganzhou city in Jiangxi province, Ningbo in Zhejiang province and Longyan in Fujian province will be the place where the production bases will be established. The plan also emphasizes on protecting energy resources and their integrated uses through renewable resource technology development.
With the efforts of different Rare Earth Metals Company and government, production of 2-trillion-yuan is targeted by 2015. Since 2005 , the annual rate of rare earth materials’ production grown by an annual rate of 20 percent since 2005.
Moreover, the plan includes the development of six types of advanced materials comprising of high-end metal structural materials, new inorganic non-metal materials, special metal functional materials, advanced macromolecular materials , frontier new materials and high performance composite materials.

Nepal- A land of beautiful Himalaya has hundreds of trekking to the mountain base camps and a day hikes. People with limited time would like to see the scenic Himalaya, experiencing the culture, lifestyle , and explore the nature in Nepal, there are some short trek and hike near Kathmandu valley.
Trekking and hiking are the highlighted outdoor activities in Nepal. Thousands of visitors visit Nepal for trekking to the mountains base camps every year. People may have a short time with they can not visit all the way to the base camps and would like to see the Nepalese Himalaya and explore Nepal. Here is the list of the short trek and hike which can be done around Kathmandu valley.
Chisapani Nagarkot Trek
The?Chisapani Nagarkot trek is 3 days short trek which can extend to 4 or 5 days. This short trek is really suitable for the people who only have about a week for Nepal. Chisappani Nagarkot trek is an easy trek to see the long-range mountain, traditional villages, a lifestyle of the country site, green nature , and much more.
The Chisapani Nagarkot trek starts from Kathmandu with a short drive to Sundarijal and hikes to Chisapani crossing some beautiful villages through the Shivapuri Nagarjuna national park. The view of the Kathmandu valley and green hills are amazing during the hike. Enjoying nature and the sounds of the birds, walking for about 4 hrs, Chisapani reached from where can enjoy the view of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Gaurishankar Himalayan ranges , amazing valley, farming terraces, and much more.
After spending a night in Chisapani, the main trekking trail leads to Nagarkot through the national park which takes around 6-7 hrs. Nagarkot is a hill station to see the scenic mountain and unblocked sunrise. This short 3 days trek ends in Changunarayan (UNESCO world heritage site) on the 3rd day but trekkers can keep continuing to Dhulikhel and Namobuddha if they choose 4 or 5 days trek.
Nagarkot Changunarayan Day Hike
The Nagarkot Changunarayan day hike is one of the most famous and busiest day hikes from the Kathmandu valley. There are some numbers of hikers every day on this hike. This day hike starts from Kathmandu with a private transport early morning driving to Nagarkot to see the mountains and sunrise than hike downwards to the Changunarayan after breakfast in Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a beautiful hill station from where can see Manaslu, Ganesh Himal , Langtang, and Gaurishankar Himalayan ranges with some valleys both sides of the hill.
After enjoying the view of the mountains and valleys, the hike starts crossing local settlements. The local people during the hike are Tam. |
